I don’t know how other people find it, but selling something that you’ve made is awesome. Not only is someone prepared to part with their hard earned cash but it also means that they like something you have made. This means it is good! I love this feeling!
So when I got a tweet from Oxford Bunting Co., asking for more of my iPhone covers, I was thrilled! Not only did I have an excuse to sit & knit, but it also meant I had to buy more wool! This then sparked a conversation with someone else about whether I could knit a cover for a HTC. Never one to turn down something new I thought I’d give it a go. It was a success! It’s always a bit risky trying something like that, especially when I’ve never even seen a HTC phone! I also tried a new design on this one, as well as adding a few buttons. My aim now is to write up my patterns for both the HTC & the iPhone cover, something that I’ve never done before.
I’ve also had a request to knit a cover for a bike lock by BikesinBloom. Again, I said yes because I’m always up for a knitting challenge & you never know where doing things like this will lead.
This is one of the reasons why I like Twitter so much. You never know how it will bring new opportunities into your life. It’s not just about tweeting about when you have a coffee, though I have to admit, I do that too!
I stupidly forgot to take pictures of the phone covers, but will add a picture of the bike lock cover when I’ve finished it. So check back soon! x
