Sunday might be the day of the rest, but a lot of the time, we’re either chasing our tails from the week just gone, or getting ourselves organised for the week ahead. On those rare occasions where all the chores are done, computers are left idle and all thoughts of work are at the back of our minds, we might get one of those blissful Sundays which are just golden. You know the ones I mean, where the weather is good, you do something lovely & indulgent and you really mourn it when it’s gone.
For me, the ultimate Sunday would include an epic walk on the beach. I love being by the sea. There’s something about it that seems to bolster the spirit, from the sea air to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore line. I do miss the sea when I’m away from it.
The perfect relaxing Sunday would also have to include some great food, definitely pancakes & lots of chai! Spending a few hours knitting, on the sofa, in front of a blazing fire with Poppy stretched out next to me, would also make it perfect. She is a master when it comes to relaxing & can go from running around, full of energy, to being fast asleep in the blink of an eye. Tho, if you head to the kitchen, she’ll open an eye to see if it’s worth getting up to investigate!
And that’s it for another Sunday. Don’t the weekends seem to go so quickly? I’m all in favour of a three day weekend! How about you?
