I’ve been using Instagram for ages, as have lots of people I follow on Twitter. When they were bought by Facebook a while back, lots of people were worried about what they would do to it. Well, now we know. They’ve created online profiles for their users.
They’re still in the process of rolling out the profile pages, but if you want to follow me & check out what tea I’m drinking, cake I’m eating or wool I’m using, then head on over to instagram.com/craftychai! Looking forward to seeing you over there!
Here it is – the final installment for the #fmsphotoaday challenge for October. I am so glad that I did it – it did challenge me to take pictures of things other than cups of tea & cake! And it was nice having something creative that I had to do on a daily basis.
I would definitely do another photography challenge, though not this month! Think I’ll have a break from it for now, but it’s well worth doing it from time to time, as it makes you look at the world around you in a different way.
Did you do the challenge? If so, why not leave a link to your blog or your Instagram page in the comments below. If you’re doing one this month, which are you doing? How are you getting on?
It was really tough keeping up with the Photo a Day challenge this week as I was a bit poorly. The weather didn’t lend itself to great pics either & I either felt worn out, uninspired or really hot due to a temperature I was running! So I didn’t take all of these on the right day, but a few days later when it was possible.
I also found this week tough because I had to think about what to take pictures of. In a way, this was good because it got me to think about what I was taking pictures of & it pushed me further. This was part of the reason why I embarked on the challenge in the first place.
Are you doing the challenge? Have you done others in the past? Would love to know how you got on & what your pictures look like!
I will never understand what makes people like an image on Instagram. Some images get lots of likes, while others, which I think are great, get nothing! Anyway, I don’t take pictures to get likes or new followers, I take them because I like them. And doing the #fmsphotoaday challenge has made me experiment with different images, filters and blurs.
I am really enjoying doing the Photo a Day challenge and will definitely do it again, though I don’t think I could do it every month. It’s a good creative outlet, but it’s difficult to try to remember it & try and take pictures that are a bit more interesting!
