As I was walking around Liberty last week, I came across their range of dog accessories. They are the cutest little things, made with beautiful Liberty print fabrics. I especially love the Harris Tweet coat. As Poppy is quite small, she needs a little coat when it’s especially cold. I’d love to see her in this gorgeous green herringbone print coat – Adorable!
Most of the time Poppy sleeps on the sofa or the chairs, depending on where we are. She’s still getting used to her new bed, but I love the bright colours of the dog bed at Liberty. We looked at quite a few beds and none were this colourful. I like the idea of dog accessories being part of the home design, instead of an afterthought. Plus this bed is thermo-regulating, which is a great idea! No more overheating pooch!
Both my OH & I are looking for things to help train Poppy and help keep her stimulated when we can play with her. At the moment, we’re investigating training classes & toys to hide treats in. What accessories would you get your pet? Any recommendations?
This morning I have been along to the launch of Liberty‘s Homeware department, which includes their new Outdoor Living section. I warn you – I’m going to gush, quite a bit, about how great the products are. But they are. The floor is filled with beautiful furniture, plush cushions and fabric and amazing outdoor pieces. I took a lot of photographs & had a really good look around. If you want to add splashes off colour to your home, then you need to have a look around Liberty. Similarly, if you want your garden furniture and garden to blend seamlessly, then you have to visit the outdoor living area.
The home wares team at Liberty have handpicked an eclectic and inspiring selection of designers, artisans and artists. This means that you can go to Liberty and see different things for your home & garden. While they’re following the trend of bright bold soft furnishings, you can have something unique for your home, which is what you’d expect from somewhere like Liberty.
With designers like Donna Wilson, Rory Dobner and Astier De Villate nestled alongside Moorcroft and pieces sourced by Patch Rogers and Drew Pritchard, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a unique shopping experience.
Here are a few of my favourite pieces
I had a lovely time at the launch and got a ton of ideas for my home and garden. I love the way that Liberty has got a real mixture of old and new and it all works really well. My favourite two things were the Orla Kiely designed lamps. I love her designs. I like patterns and love the combinations she uses. My second favourite thing was the old leather armchair. Leather armchairs need to be broken into so when you come across one that is, it’s a real gem. Plus I’m on the look out for two awesome armchairs and would buy this one in a heart beat, if I had the cash!
Liberty has always been a reason to visit London. Now, it’s almost like visiting a museum as well. The way everything is displayed, it’s almost like taking a tour of Pitt Rivers Museum! But you can take the artifacts home!
Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending Liberty for afternoon tea. I had been invited, along with other bloggers, to meet up and enjoy some delicious tasty treats!
I arrived at Liberty on quite a cold Thursday afternoon. I was really excited to see the shop at Christmas time, as I knew that it would be all lit up & looking very festive! I wasn’t disappointed! It looked great! Then, after meeting up with the other bloggers, we were taken to the Heritage Suit, which was decorated using wood from the HMS Impregnable and was meant to be the office of Arthur Lasenby Liberty, though he died before it was finished. It is a really grand room and a beautiful setting for our little tea.
We sat around chatting about the different things that we blog about and then they brought in the food! Wow! It was really impressive! And, like the bloggers that we are, we naturally started taking pictures of the food and the table settings!
Between the finger sandwiches and the delicious chocolate pastries, we also enjoyed some mini scones with cream and jam. It was all really declicious and a lovely treat. I feel really blessed to go and experience something that I never thought I would, in a room that a lot of people who go to Liberty probably don’t even know exists! I’d really like to thank Liberty for inviting us all down for the afternoon, especially during their busy Christmas period. I’d also really like to thank Lauren, who found my little blog & asked me to be part of it! Thanks guys!
A perfect pre-Christmas treat!
So the wish list continues. I’m hoping that compiling these lists will also help me think about what I can buy others. While looking around online and exploring what I can make & add to my wish list, I came across these Liberty print exclusive accessories. What is not to love?!
Top row (left to right): Mabelle print large fabric notebook. Liberty fabric bundle. Large D’Anjo print rose knot watch. Bottom row (left to right): Liberty fabric. Liberty fabric. Strawberry thief Liberty print
I think any crafter would love to get a Liberty print bundle in their stocking! I know I would. I really like getting craft gifts. You get the enjoyment from opening up the present on Christmas Day & then enjoyment when making something using the gift! Fantastic!
What craft gifts would you like for Christmas? What are you looking forward to make in 2013?
