This week, I am still very much in the home decor zone. So it only seems fitting that I dedicate my Tuesday Treat to House Envy, which is online shop with a B&M shop in Llantwit Major, South Wales. I first discovered them on Twitter (one of the many reasons I love it!) I love the products that they sell. They are stylish and would suit any type of home. At the moment I am coveting the Sticky Mini Quad pictured below. How awesome are they?! What a great combo of post-its and New York!
This is just one of many things I love on their site. They have a great eye for beautiful furnishings, jewellery & gifts. They source new products all the time, which keeps everything looking fresh. I’ve already seen a few things that I’ll be adding to my birthday list so watch this space!
I’m writing this Tuesday Treat post on Sunday morning, having just been reading the focus of the post: The Simple Things magazine.
I stopped reading magazines a while ago. I got fed up with not being able to afford the clothes in them, cook the recipes in them and generally felt like they weren’t aimed at me. Then, the people of Mollie Makes, brought this little gem out. I subscribed because the offer was too good to pass up & my copy arrived last week. I had a quick flick through & was instantly impressed. Even my OH thinks it’s a great magazine (He tweeted this & got retweeted by The Simple Things! Much pride in my house!) I wanted to wait for a suitable time to read it, hence it being Sunday morning. I’m sitting in the garden, drinking tea out of my favourite cup, in the sun & wrapped in a blanket (well, it is Autumn!). Perfect!
The magazine is fantastic & just my cup of tea. My favourite bit so far is the Tree Identifier. I love a good walk during autumn, as the trees are turning shades of red and gold, and there’s a nip in the air, wearing my favourite jumper & boots, then head home to a glass of red wine & a sit beside a roaring fire. Perfection!
I think, that in an increasingly busy & 24 hour world, we need to slow down for the simple things – heck, I’ve already done that by changing careers. Life is short, enjoy the simple things.
Thank you The Simple Things for making a magazine for me!
