My Interflora Garden

Yesterday I received an email from the lovely people at Interflora, telling me about a competition to win tickets to the Chelsea Flower Show. Every year I watch the flower show on TV. It’s always around my birthday and every year I tell myself, I’ll get tickets to go next year. Guess what? I never have. So, in for a penny, in for a pound, I’m enterting the competition. Not only is the prize awesome, but the compeition itself is very pinteresting! (see what I did there?!) Why? Because all you have to do is create a board on Pinterest called My Interflora Garden, fill it with images for your dream garden, include the competition image, below, and submit it before middday on Friday 16th May. What a great idea! Here’s my Pinterest board:

My Interflora Garden

This is coming at quite a good time too. As the weather is improving, my mind is turning more and more to finally finishing off the garden. At the moment we have one plant and lots of grass/weeds. Once we’ve cleared the borders (again) and decided on some edging, we’ll be ready for planting. I’m very excited about finally getting some plants in the ground and some colour in the garden. I’m hoping that once we’ve got plants in, it’ll be much easier to manage. That’s true, right?! If you’ve got any tips or great plants that grow well with very little maintenence, then please let me know. I’m at a bit of loss as to what to go for!

If you want to enter the Interflora competition, then here’s the instructions. Good luck!

PS: I’m taking part in Blog Every Day in May this year. So be prepared to have your Bloglovin’ feed filled with my ramblings and slightly shoddy iPhone pictures! Are you taking part? Let me know so I can add your blog to my Bloglovin’!

Tuesday Treat – The Calm Gallery

Sometimes, I wish my house was bigger, just so I could have more pictures up on the walls. I have a thing for prints. You know the ones, quirky sayings, vintage posters, that kind of thing. For the moment, I have to limit myself to just adding them to Pinterest. But that doesn’t stop me lusting after great prints, which is why I’m so pleased to have discovered The Calm Gallery. Not only do they sell amazing prints, but they also sell tea towels and postcards, which I might have to treat myself with!

This print is one of my favourites and I think it would look great by our kitchen. Like a lot of people, I love tea, so this would have pride of place in our dining area. (Can’t really call it a dining room, as it’s not big enough!) Plus it’s true, there’s nothing quite like a good cup of tea when you need a little refreshment! What’s your favourite print at The Calm Gallery?

Pinterest Friday

Pinterest never fails to inspire me or pick me up when I’m not really feeling it. There are so many great images on there and they also make me want to be more, do more and yes, eat more! Here are my favourite recent pins:

This images pretty much sum up what I want over the next few months – tea, cake, pretty autumnal flowers, knitting, winter jumpers & sorting out a few house bits. Perfect!

*The teatime image doesn’t have a source, so if you know who I should be crediting, then please let me know!

Pinterest Friday

Isn’t the weather amazing at the moment?! It’s gloriously hot & the country looks amazing, lots of lush greens and wild flowers all over. Beautiful! This Friday I’d thought I’d do another Pinterest post, rounding up some of the beautiful & inspirational images I’ve been repinning over on my boards.
